Flinders University
Robots are designed to perform a variety of tasks aimed at making people’s lives easier. They are capable of undertaking tasks with a level of precision, strength and endurance beyond that of humans and are an ideal substitute for workers in repetitive, hazardous, and laborious jobs in manufacturing applications.
Flinders University offers the only robotics course in South Australia based on electronics and autonomous intelligent systems – two of the key elements of the latest robotics technologies. Our robotics degree enables students to choose a course of study with either an intelligent robotics focus or a mechatronics focus.
Flinders Bachelor of Engineering (Robotics) combines electronics, computer control, signal processing, and programming in the design, development and application of robots and their integration with other systems in fields as diverse as the work manufacturing, mining and medicine. This degree provides you with the latest learning in robotics technologies, preparing you to become a key player in developing the robots that will populate our future. The Degree is accredited by Engineers Australia, and students are required to do 20-weeks work placement as part of the degree.

Robotics engineers are in high demand with employment opportunities ranging from conceptual design work to the development and manufacturing of final products. Industries presenting employment prospects include the electronic smart instrumentation and Defence sectors. This program is fully accredited by Engineers Australia at the level of
professional engineer. Professional engineering courses accredited by
Engineers Australia are recognised internationally under the Washington Accord. Graduates meet the academic requirements for attaining chartered professional engineering status.
Entry Requirements
The DSE entry for the Bachelor of Engineering (Robotics) (Honours) is 18 points. HKDSE results are calculated using 3 core subjects and 2 elective subjects. The core topics are English Language, Mathematics Compulsory only and Liberal Studies. The student must get a level 4 in English subject or IELTS 6.0.
